I can’t tell you how many of my friends and associates are self published authors, but I know there are many. We live in exciting times that anyone who has something to say, is able to say it and not have to wait on a publisher to say we are worthy of expressing ourselves or not.

I became a member of the Alliance because us writers need to stick together. There is power in the collective for each of us, and we have an opportunity and I dare say a duty to support one another in this craft.

Writing isn’t easy, but it can be fulfilling. I have just finished my latest book titled, For Want of 40 Pounds, I co wrote with my friend Peter Jennings. It was definitely a labor of love since it is the memoir of my father’s life. Yes, he is still with us, but at 94, reality suggests he won’t be here forever. Damn, that hurts to say.

Anyway.. If you don’t know about the Alliance, members get free publishing through Ingram Sparks, so if you wanted to publish a hard cover book, this is the place to do it.
